STEM – Science technology engineering and math is just a small area of the total skillset we want and need to provide for the children.

Learning While Playing, that’s what it’s all about. Children want to play, children need to play and children love playing.

When children play and learn at the same time it’s essential that the right toy is included and is in use.

First of all the Toy/product needs to be SAFE. It’s not enough if a teacher or a colleague stating that the Toy/product is SAFE.
You test, document and certify the Toy/product together with your Product Safety Partner and Laboratory.

The same goes when it comes play and learning value in a Toy/product and STEM/STEAM product. It is not enough to claim, it’s not enough to think, or to have a teacher/colleague/professor to claim that a Toy/product is a: Educational toy / STEM product / STEAM product etc..

It is essential that the Toy/product has PLAY VALUE when the child is playing with the Toy/product. If the Toy/product hasn’t PLAY or LEARNING VALUE, you can never claim that a product is a STEM/STEAM/EDUCATIONAL Toy/product.

You need to be able to document PLAY and LEARNING VALUE in the product in the same way you document play safety. That is done with a Product Certification Partner, where play and learning is tested, documented and certified.

Without PLAY VALUE or LEARNING VALUE in a product, there cannot be any play with the Toy/product in the long run…..
The product will simply be played with 1-3 times and then it will be left in the closet, in the corner collecting dust, and never be played with again.
